• 21 November 2018. This week the  trial section for the cut flower cultivation of amaryllis will start growing. After 10 weeks of cooling, the leaves are mown and the first varieties will be in the harvest stage after approx. 6-7 weeks. This section was planted in January of this year.

    In addition to a number of recently introduced varieties, such as ‘Casablanca’, ‘Avalanche’, ‘Himalaya’ , ‘Lion King’, ‘White Sensation’, ‘Porto,’ ‘Cherry Bloss’ , ‘Pink Rival’ and ‘Revelation’ , more than 20 new selections will be in bloom in January. This includes both selections that have been tested for a number of years and that can be introduced within 1-2 years, as well as a number of younger selections that are assessed in January for suitability for cut flower cultivation.

    From mid-January, growers, exporters and other interested parties are welcome every Wednesday afternoon to view the developments in the field of cut-flower Amaryllis.
