10-1-2020 – Starting for the first time this year on the 15th of January, every Wednesday afternoon from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm , visitors have the opportunity to view our amaryllis assortment in the blooming phase. In total, more than 30 varieties can be viewed for both pot and cutflower culture. In addition, more than 100 new selections have been planted for review, from which a choice will be made in the coming years.
More than 15 varieties can be seen in the cut flower department, in addition to more than 80 selections that can be judged on suitability for cut flower cultivation. From week 2 on, the first varieties (“Avalanche”, “Pink Rival” and “Tenerife”) will be in bloom.
The planting material for the second section was lifted in mid-August and planted in early December after 10 weeks of preparation. In this section, varieties are planted for pot forcing, dry sale and cutflower growing. Additionally, a large number of new selections (large-flowering, small-flowering and double-flowering) have been planted in this department for evaluation.
